It’s that time of the year again.

I’ll be heading up to Jimmy’s ranch in Elk Creek this weekend with the guys. Scott and his dad will be there along with Jimmy, Kurt, Jeff, and Chuck.

I’ve got my deer tags for B and D zones along with my upland game bird stamp. Something is going to die this year by my hands. And then I’m going to eat it.

This will be my first year at The Ranch. I always seem to miss it… something always comes up. In years past I’ve had a paper to write or I’ve been sick or something. But this year I’m going to make it. I leave tomorrow.
