More snow!

On Sunday it was 65 degrees at my house and mostly clear skies. The next morning I woke up to a very snowy back yard.

It’s been a pretty good winter so far. Last year we only had three decent storms that left some snow on the ground. This winter we had at least three good storms in November alone.

I live in the Sierra Nevada mountains and I love it.

Spring already?

The last snowstorm here in Reno was a little over two weeks ago. Since then we’ve had warm, early-spring weather. Yesterday it was in the high 60s at my house. This time of year it’s supposed to be mid 40s during the day.

Winter seems set to return this upcoming weekend. It will start with rain on Saturday and turns to snow by Sunday night.

Good. I’m not ready for spring yet. I want more snow. I moved to the mountains because I love snow, dammit.

Started snowing yesterday and hasn’t stopped. Eighteen inches of dry powdery snow in the last 24 hours.

I live in the mountains and I love it!

Spent an hour shoveling the driveway, pathway, and sidewalk just now. Very cold outside. Good exercise.

Expecting snow through the rest of the afternoon and night. We sure need it. I hope we get many more storms like this one for the test of the winter.
