It’s been a fun weekend.
Friday Dave came over, as usual. Ange joined us and we recorded a solid two hours of material for Dave’s podcast The Drinkin’ With Dave Show. The 2nd show is already up on his website. I choose to do all the back-end type stuff like setting up the website, making sure all the electronic equpment works, stuff like that; rather than get on the mics.
Dave and I had some dinner at La Imperial, the best little Mexican food restaurant in downtown Hayward, and ran into an old friend, Amy Bookout. She barely recognized us. Let’s just say that both Dave and I have gained a little weight in the last 10 years since we last saw her.
Saturday night I met Kevin and Tabetha at Buffalo Bill’s brewpub. I had a few pints and played catch-up with two old friends. A few hours later they went home, and I spent another hour or so exploring downtown Hayward.
Downtown Hayward is changing fast. It has two decent pubs, some decent restaurants, and now some decent shops. It’s almost to the point where I wouldn’t mind living there (almost, it still has a ways to go). At this rate it might be livable in the next 4-5 years.
So now it’s Sunday and I’m in bed with the laptop and remote. I’m watching the rest of the Masters, rooting for Freddy. I slept in until 2pm today, and I feel great.
And that is all.
