The trip to Lake Almanor went pretty well. I got in some fishing, sightseeing, hiking… and lots of relaxation! We didn’t get to do all the things we wanted to, but that’s a good thing… we have new stuff to do and see next time we go later this year. We had to leave after the 3rd night due to Heath having to work and the little ones being sick.

So the camping trip was cut short which was a little disappointing. However when I got home, Dave called and asked if I wanted to go fishing on the Delta. Hell yeah! We took his boat out on Friday evening and Saturday morning. We caught 4 fish each trip–catfish, crappie, striped bass, and largemouth bass. None of them were very big, but still… it was fun to catch ’em! Dave and I stayed out on the water until 9pm Friday (I love summer so much). Eight hours later at 5am we were back on the water pluggin’ away. We stopped for lunch in Discovery Bay Harbor and some place, I can’t remember the name. Actually we didn’t really eat lunch, we just drank beers. Then we headed back out for a couple more hours of fishing.
