Halloween

I didn’t do anything special for Halloween.

I just didn’t feel like it. I didn’t go out, I didn’t make plans, I didn’t even drink. I spent the evening in bed with my laptop, hacking my server and reading select chapters from the Red Hat Linux 9 Bible. You know, as much as I hate to admit it, computers are my most marketable skill. I have a feeling that all this work towards a BA in Liberal Studies and my future MA in History will all be for nothing. I have a sinking feeling that I’ll end up doing computer work after college. Whatever.

I picked up my new shotgun this afternoon. It’s a Remington 870 Express Magnum with synthetic stock. It’s light, it takes all 3 size shotgun shells, and it’s mine. Just in time for turkey season too (starts November 8th). And duck season is right around the corner. w00t!

I might do a little last minute deer hunting with Scott up in D-zone Sunday. That’s up around Kirkwood, up highway 88. Sunday is the last day of deer hunting anywhere in the state, so this is my last chance. I’m hoping with all this cold weather we got recently my luck will change. If not no big deal.

Saturday night it looks like I’m going to drive down to Woodland for dinner with my sister and my folks. I haven’t seen my mommy since August–I miss her. I hope we go to Olive Garden. I’m in the mood for soup and salad.

And now it’s time to sleep.
